ROCKET CRESS Description. This very much resembles the hedge mustard in appearance, and for which it is often taken. The stalks are numerous, weak, and branched; they are a foot and a half high, but not very erect. The leaves are placed irregularly on them, and are of a yellowish green, of a tender substance, and deeply divided. The flowers stand at the tops of the stalks and branches, and are small and yellow: the pads are slender and very long. Place. It is common by rivers and about the edges of shallow ponds, and in moist shady situations. Time. It flowers in July. |
