SORREL MOUNTAIN Description. The leaves of this Sorrel are are of a glaucous or blueish green colour; they are broader, shorter, and rounder than the common, and the ears that stand on each side, at their joining to the foot-stalks, are very large. The stalks do not arise to that height; they are weaker and stand not so erect. The flower and seed much alike. Place. This Sorrel is sown in gardens. Time. It flowers in June; and the leaves are as sour as the common, and may be used indifferently with it, both in medicines and sallads. |
