Herb Recipe - Anise Biscuits

Anise biscuits

!The biscuits must be left overnight before baking.!

Equipment needed

An oiled, floured baking tray.
A biscuit piping bag.
An oven.


4 large eggs
250g icing sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar
400g plain flour
2 desert spoons ground anise


  1. Separate the eggs.
  2. Mix the yolk, icing sugar and vanilla sugar together and beat till they are creamy.
  3. Beat the egg whites till they are stiff.
  4. Sieve the flour and ground anise together.
  5. Mix all the ingredients together.
  6. Place the mixture into a biscuit piping bag.
  7. Pipe out the mixture (forming small mounds) onto the pre-prepared baking tray.
  8. Leave the biscuits overnight in a warm room.
  9. Preheat the oven to 160o C.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes until they are a light golden brown.
